Global Warming theories abound on the 'net and of course many point to 2012 as the year when the effects of global warming will bring on the end of times.

Per this article from The Canadian in 2007 (not to be alarmist or anything, just reporting the news)

Over 4.5 billion people could die from Global Warming related causes by 2012, as planet Earth accelarates into a greed-driven horrific catastrophe."

Finally, a good reason to buy those funny light bulbs!
